A Glorious Display

After years of rapid growth as a predominantly e-commerce PC and gaming tech company, Glorious took the step to further break into the retail space by joining the many tech companies sold at Best Buy. I was thrilled to lead the design for this merchandising experience in this groundbreaking moment for the company. The goals of the merchandising display were to stand apart with colorful products and numerous customization options, as well as create a tactile customer experience.

Direction & Process

While working with the sales team, product managers, the Best Buy team, the team engineering the shelf – and while giving art direction to the 3D designers, I created many drafts refining the flow of the design for this new point of connection with our products. Some of the challenges I faced included how the print materials would interact with the shelf, as well as taking note of spatial restrictions and cutoff points that would interrupt design. 

Variations

The art direction and ideation for the Glorious merchandising shelf for Best Buy gave life to other displays for products and customer interaction, including shelf design for an international retail partner in Qatar, and Glorious event booths for PAX West and NY Comic Con 2022.
